Meet The Team
IMAGINE consists of a team of students from several health faculties and programs (medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech-language pathology, and health administration) as well as preceptors that span all ranks within the university's health science faculties.
IMAGINE has secured the support of Deans as well as multiple faculty-specific advisors. St. Christopher House: The Meeting Place and the Central Toronto Community Health Centre-Queen West Site have also been immensely supportive of the IMAGINE initiative.

Matthew Hacker Teper
Medicine Y3
As one of IMAGINE’s executive co-directors, Matthew is responsible for managing the overall operations and strategy for the clinic. Prior to this role, he severed as a member of the Process and Quality Improvement (PQI) committee for two years. Outside of medicine, you can find him completing his part-time culinary degree, playing sports, or doing crossword puzzles.

Executive Co-Director
Kelsey Yang
Medicine Y2
I’m interested in health equity, quality improvement, and medical education, so being part of IMAGINE is truly the sweet spot for me! It’s an exciting and humbling challenge to revamp IMAGINE’s services in response to the pandemic and changing community needs. It’s a privilege to be working with all these dedicated individuals on this page, and I’m always amazed by how quickly their ideas become initiatives across the different committees!
Fun fact, Matt and I are both cycling enthusiasts, and we opted to have one of our co-director meetings on a bike ride instead of on Zoom! That was our first time ever meeting in person having also worked together on the PQI team last year.

Hello! I joined IMAGINE because I’m passionate about breaking down systemic barriers to accessing safe, effective care and collaborating with a diversity of disciplines to provide holistic support to structurally marginalized individuals. In my downtime I like to explore new places in Toronto (mostly restaurants), read, and take my cat for a stroll.

Clinic Flow Manager
Erin Grennell
Medicine Y2
I joined the IMAGINE clinic last year as a volunteer in health promotions. I loved working with students from other programs and promoting healthy living to our community partners. I was motivated to become a Clinic Flow Manager because I wanted to gain firsthand exposure to multidisciplinary care in the treatment of marginalized populations. I really enjoy learning from the amazing volunteers and preceptors at the clinic. In my free time I enjoy getting outside, going on runs, and learning new recipes!

Gar-Way Ma
Medicine Y2
Hello! My name is Gar-Way, and I am one of the Co-Chairs for the HP team this year! I joined IMAGINE because I believe that good quality healthcare begins at the individual, where proper education and resources can help communities stay healthier and happier. It is because of this that I was particularly interested in the Health Promotions team, where we aim to provide clients of our community partners with the skills, knowledge, and information they need to meet their own health goals. Doing this type of work is incredibly rewarding, and I hope our team can continue to make an impact in the communities of Toronto, particularly those that are underserved and vulnerable.
