Our Team
2025-2026

IMAGINE consists of a team of students from several health faculties and programs (medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech-language pathology, and health administration) as well as preceptors that span all ranks within the university's health science faculties.

IMAGINE has secured the support of Deans as well as multiple faculty-specific advisors. St. Christopher House: The Meeting Place and the Central Toronto Community Health Centre-Queen West Site have also been immensely supportive of the IMAGINE initiative.

Hi, my name is Josephine (Jo) and I’m a third-year medical student at the University of Toronto. As someone who is deeply passionate about health equity and community based advocacy, I look forward to serving as an IMAGINE co-director this year. In my spare time, you can find me running, hiking, or perfecting my strawberry matcha latte recipe!

Hi, my name is Shannon, and I’m a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto. I’m passionate about equitable access to healthcare and fostering partnerships with community organizations. I’m excited to contribute to meaningful learning opportunities for health professional students to explore the value of multidisciplinary care. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the city and cooking for friends and family!

Hey! My name is Emily and I'm going into my second year of medical school at UofT. I feel very strongly about increasing access to healthcare services for populations who face barriers in accessing what should be a right, which makes IMAGINE the perfect place for me to advocate :) I love exploring new restaurants around the city and spending quality time with loved ones.

I joined IMAGINE because I strongly resonate with their mission of improving health for marginalized and underserved communities in Toronto. As Clinic Flow Manager, my goal will be to facilitate seamless operation of virtual and in-person clinics to ensure efficient and effective healthcare service and delivery. I’m also looking forward to working with and learning from an interprofessional team of healthcare students and preceptors.

Hi! My name is Sanaz and I am a 2nd year at UofT Med. I really enjoyed working with homeless populations during my undergraduate degree at Western University, and that's why I am here today! Outside of school I love the outdoors, trying new recipes, and playing music.

I’m thrilled to be one of the preceptor recruitment co-chairs at the IMAGINE Clinic, where I help bring in and coordinate new and existing preceptors. I initially joined IMAGINE as a registered pharmacist driven by a passion for providing care to underserved communities. My time was incredibly rewarding and I knew that I wanted to get more involved by helping recruit more healthcare providers who could share in this incredible work. The IMAGINE clinics mission is to provide care to underserved communities, while giving students hands-on learning opportunities, which is something I truly believe in, and something I’m proud to play a role in making possible.

Hi! My name is Joycelyn and I'm a second year medical student at U of T. I'm excited to work with the IMAGINE clinic to promote health equity and support marginalized communities in Toronto.

Hello! My name is Kevin, a 3rd year medical student. I first joined IMAGINE as a member of the Community Partnerships committee, where I helped create and maintain relationships with community organizations that serve vulnerable populations of Toronto. This year, I am super excited to be serving as co-chair of the Health Promotions committee for a second time. We hope to continue leading initiatives dedicated to serving the needs of vulnerable populations by partnering with community shelters and coordinating an interprofessional team to lead health promotion workshops. My interest in health equity and health promotion stems from my previous professional career as a health and safety manager. I have always been passionate about considering social and environmental factors (e.g., the workplace) as important determinants of health. In my free-time, I enjoy running, weightlifting, and travelling.

Hello! My name is Neil and I first joined imagine as a Health Promotion committee volunteer. It was immensely meaningful to help host health literacy workshops in the community and speak directly with shelter residents to hear their perspectives. Connecting with people and hearing about their challenges and aspirations has inspired my interest in health advocacy. It was similarly amazing to collaborate with amazing peers on the IMAGINE team to help share health literacy and I'm so excited to continue our work this year with my fellow co-chairs and volunteers.

Hi! My name is Ariana, a second-year medical student passionate about advancing equity in healthcare by ensuring everyone has the support and advocates they need to access reliable care. I joined IMAGINE last year as a Health Promotion volunteer and was inspired to take on a leadership role to empower my peers in exploring health equity while continuing to advocate at a systems level. Outside of medicine, I love baking, crocheting, reading, and dancing.

I’ve been volunteering with IMAGINE Clinic since my first year as a Health Promotions volunteer, and this year, I’m excited to be co-leading the Advocacy & Education team. The communities we serve are incredibly close to my heart. I’m especially passionate about health equity in ways that are practical and people-centered—reducing barriers, meeting communities where they are, and building systems of care that are respectful and inclusive. I’m looking forward to collaborating with organizations across Toronto that are already doing meaningful, community-driven work.

Hi! My name is Katherine (she/her) and I am a second year Occupational Therapy student. I am passionate about substantive equality and what that looks like in health and wellbeing care. Hi! My name is Abby and I'm a 2nd year medical student.I joined IMAGINE because I believe that their health is the most valuable resource that a person has and we should strive to ensure everyone has equitable access to resources to maintain and improve their health. IMAGINE provides a really cool opportunity to put that believe into practice by finding ways to give back to the Toronto community. Outside of medicine I really enjoy sports (playing and watching them), playing guitar and hanging out with my friends!

Outside of med school, I enjoy resistance training, spending time with family and friends, and walking my dog.

Hi! My name is Vince, and I'm a 4th year medical student. I understand the importance of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a clinic running smoothly. During my time as department lead for the clinical trials team at a pediatric allergy/immunology clinic, I saw firsthand how careful financial management is essential to providing sustainable, long-term care. I’m excited to bring that experience to IMAGINE, where we can optimize resources to enhance patient care. During my free time, I enjoy finding new restaurants, playing board games with my friends, or practicing Muay Thai.
