Our Team
2026-2027

IMAGINE consists of a team of students from several health faculties and programs (medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech-language pathology, and health administration) as well as preceptors that span all ranks within the university's health science faculties.

IMAGINE has secured the support of Deans as well as multiple faculty-specific advisors. St. Christopher House: The Meeting Place and the Central Toronto Community Health Centre-Queen West Site have also been immensely supportive of the IMAGINE initiative.

Hi! My name is Maiesha. Growing up in Toronto, I witnessed the challenges that socioeconomically disadvantaged populations face daily when trying to access healthcare. Due to this, I am passionate about health equity initiatives and working with community organizations to improve the provision of reliable, patient-centered care for diverse, underserved populations.

Hi, I'm Luiza, a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto with a long-standing commitment to health equity and community advocacy. Watching my mother struggle to access care after moving to Canada taught me firsthand how much the right support can change someone's experience. Born in Brazil and raised across several countries, I've spent years working alongside marginalized communities, from rural workers in Brazil to individuals navigating eating disorder recovery. I joined IMAGINE because I believe the most meaningful care starts with listening, and I'm excited to help build programming that truly reflects the needs of the communities we serve.

Hi! My name is Ariana and I am a third-year medical student passionate about advancing equity in healthcare by ensuring everyone has the support and advocates they need to access reliable care.
