Our Team

IMAGINE consists of a team of students from several health faculties and programs (medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social work, speech-language pathology, and health administration) as well as preceptors that span all ranks within the university's health science faculties.

IMAGINE has secured the support of Deans as well as multiple faculty-specific advisors. St. Christopher House: The Meeting Place and the Central Toronto Community Health Centre-Queen West Site have also been immensely supportive of the IMAGINE initiative.

As one of the IMAGINE Clinic Executive Co-Directors, I am largely responsible for supporting our clinic operations, external affairs, and internal affairs executive teams as we strive to serve the needs of vulnerable populations in downtown Toronto. Working alongside our fellow executives, I am dedicated to building partnerships across healthcare organization(s) and local agencies to better promote community health and support health resource access. My passion about health equity and health promotion stems from my volunteer work in undergraduate, where I gained greater insight into some of the unique and systemic health challenges that individuals may face. These experiences ultimately taught me how valuable interdisciplinary teams can be in developing innovative ways to help address health needs. I am looking forward to what we can accomplish together this year! In my free-time, I enjoy running, hockey, squash, and will never turn down an opportunity to explore new parts of Toronto with friends!

I really enjoy getting the chance to speak with others about their health and come up with practical strategies to empower them in reaching their personal goals. Some of the exciting things our team has created in the past year include online and in-person workshops for wound care, oral hygiene and mindfulness. Aside from IMAGINE, I love staying active where I frequently rock climb, practice hot yoga and box!

I joined IMAGINE because I strongly resonate with their mission of improving health for marginalized and underserved communities in Toronto. As Clinic Flow Manager, my goal will be to facilitate seamless operation of virtual and in-person clinics to ensure efficient and effective healthcare service and delivery. I’m also looking forward to working with and learning from an interprofessional team of healthcare students and preceptors.

I’m thrilled to be one of the preceptor recruitment co-chairs at the IMAGINE Clinic, where I help bring in and coordinate new and existing preceptors. I initially joined IMAGINE as a registered pharmacist driven by a passion for providing care to underserved communities. My time was incredibly rewarding and I knew that I wanted to get more involved by helping recruit more healthcare providers who could share in this incredible work. The IMAGINE clinics mission is to provide care to underserved communities, while giving students hands-on learning opportunities, which is something I truly believe in, and something I’m proud to play a role in making possible.

I previously worked with IMAGINE as a member of the Community Partnerships committee, where I helped create and maintain relationships with community organizations that serve vulnerable populations of Toronto. This year, I am super excited to be serving as co-chair of the Health Promotions committee, alongside Neil, Natasha, and Darshana. We hope to continue leading initiatives dedicated to serving the needs of vulnerable populations by partnering with community shelters and coordinating an interprofessional team to lead health promotion workshops. My interest in health equity and health promotion stems from my previous professional career as a health and safety manager. I have always been passionate about considering social and environmental factors (e.g., the workplace) as important determinants of health. In my free-time, I enjoy running, weightlifting, and travelling.

I first joined imagine as a Health Promotion committee volunteer. It was immensely meaningful to help host health literacy workshops in the community and speak with shelter residents to hear their perspectives. I found it an invaluable experience to connect with them as people, hearing their struggles, hopes and aspirations. Volunteering has helped me realize the unique challenges faced by underhoused individuals and the invaluable service shelters and community organizations provide in Toronto. It was similarly amazing to have collaborated with amazing peers on the IMAGINE team to help share health literacy and I'm so excited to continue our work this year with my fellow co-chairs and volunteers.

I am very grateful and excited to spend another year as one of the Co-Chairs for the Advocacy and Education (A&E) team at the IMAGINE Clinic. I joined IMAGINE because I am passionate about working in teams to improve the provision of healthcare for vulnerable patients, and I believe that both advocacy and education play critical roles in helping to address disparities. Last year, I was also one of the Co-Chairs for the A&E team, and in my first year I volunteered as one of the committee members on A&E. I had the privilege to work with team members to host events and workshops for students in various health care programs at U of T, organize a fundraising event, partner with other clubs to create care packages to donate to non-profit organizations, and raise awareness in the community about IMAGINE Clinic’s mission. Outside of school, my hobbies include playing the piano, figure skating, practicing yoga, working out, and trying new restaurants!

My role as a Finance Co-Chair is to assist with funding applications, fundraising, and budget planning. I joined IMAGINE because I am passionate about health advocacy. Being part of the IMAGINE team gives me the opportunity to serve and support vulnerable and marginalized populations. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, and spending time with family and friends.

As Finance Co-chair for IMAGINE, I understand the importance of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a clinic running smoothly. During my time as department lead for the clinical trials team at a pediatric allergy/immunology clinic, I saw firsthand how careful financial management is essential to providing sustainable, long-term care. I’m excited to bring that experience to IMAGINE, where we can optimize resources to enhance patient care. During my free time, I enjoy finding new restaurants, playing board games with my friends, or practicing Muay Thai.

I'm incredibly excited to be a PQI co-chair for the IMAGINE Clinic this year! In collaboration with Byron, I will be leading all quality improvement for the clinic and addressing systemic issues as they arise. I am particularly interested in implementing guidelines and clinical tools to improve efficiency and standardization of care. I joined IMAGINE because I believe healthcare should be affordable for all members of our community.

As a PQI Co-Chair, my role is to optimize and standardize the internal processes of IMAGINE while working collaboratively with other teams. I am interested in how the intersection of technology and health systems can improve access to patient care and hope to make a lasting impact on IMAGINE for years to come. I joined IMAGINE to pursue this interest while contributing to a fun multidisciplinary project that provides an important service for our community. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, video games, working out, and spending time with friends.
